Patriots Improve To 8-3 With 7-0 Win Over UAFS

UT Tyler women’s tennis used a 7-0 win Friday afternoon at home to improve to 8-3 on the season

TYLER, Texas -- UT Tyler was in command of Friday's Lone Star Conference matchup with UAFS, posting a doubles sweep and six straight-sets singles wins to improve to 8-3 overall and 1-1 in LSC play.
 
Gaini Ibrasheva only dropped two games the entire afternoon, following up a 6-0 win with Chloe Dix at No. 3 doubles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Bianca Koen at the top of the singles lineup. Dix added a 6-2, 6-2 win from the No. 6 singles spot.
 
UT Tyler won the three doubles matches by a combined 18-7 margin, and the Patriots posted six straight-sets singles wins by a combined 73-29 margin.
 
UAFS fell to 4-5 overall and 0-4 in LSC play.
 
The Patriots are back in action Saturday morning, hosting Cameron at 10 a.m. at the Summers Tennis Center.
