Box Score TYLER, Texas -- UT Tyler overcame a doubles sweep to win four out of six singles matches, surging to an impressive 4-3 win over Cameron on Saturday.

Cameron won doubles in impressive fashion, posting a combined 18-6 margin, but UT Tyler claimed three singles matches in straight sets and got a three-set victory from
Chloe Chawner at the No. 5 singles position to secure the come-from-behind win. Chawner won the first and third sets of her match against Julianna Garcia, posting a score of 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.

Gaini Ibrasheva avoided a third set at the top of the singles lineup, following up a 7-5 win in the opening set with a tiebreaker win in the second set, claiming the 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) win over Karolina Glowinska.

Tanvikhaa Saravanan added a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles, and
Eva Riekenbrauck rounded out the victory with her 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 6 spot in the singles lineup.

With the victory, UT Tyler improved to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in Lone Star Conference play, while Cameron fell to 7-6 overall and 1-3 in the LSC.

The Patriots return to action with three matches next week, starting with a Friday, April 9 exhibition match at UTEP (NCAA Division I) before taking on LSC opponents UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico on April 10 in Silver City, N.M.
