Box Score MIDLAND, Texas -- UT Tyler rolled to its fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference victory, remaining atop the conference standings with a perfect 4-0 LSC record after Thursday's 6-1 road win over UT Permian Basin.
The Patriots split the top two doubles matches and claimed the doubles point with a 6-1 win from
Jonas Dixon and
Egor Shestakov at the No. 3 doubles spot.
Shestakov followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the top of the singles lineup, and UT Tyler claimed three more singles matches in straight sets.
Gonzalo Fernandez Gil,
Yudai Watanabe, and
Jonas Dixon all won in straight sets, and
Jorge Sala Frigeri added a three-set win at No. 5 to complete the win.
With the win, UT Tyler improved to 7-7 overall and 4-0 in LSC play, while UT Permian Basin dropped to 3-8 overall and 1-2 in the LSC.
The LSC-leading Patriots return to action on Saturday, April 10, at Western New Mexico.
