WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS – UT Tyler was unable to keep pace with a hot-shooting Midwestern State side in a 99-78 defeat.

Bryce Roberts went for 26 points to lead a UT Tyler offense that shot 46.7 percent (28-for-60) from the floor in the game. Midwestern State was efficient throughout the contest, going 37-for-64 (57.8 percent) from the floor and led by double-digits throughout the entirety of the second half.
UT Tyler largely kept pace offensively with the Mustangs for the majority of the first half, trailing just 40-39 with 5:21 left, but Midwestern State was able to pad a 51-43 advantage at the break. The Mustangs connected on the first shot of the second half and extended a 21-point lead at 66-45 with 16:11 remaining.
UT Tyler only managed to narrow the deficit to 17 throughout the remainder of the game.
Roberts went 10-for-19 from the field and 6-for-9 from beyond the three-point line. Junior Alex Zambie and graduate student
Jonathan Jackson both joined Roberts in double-digit scoring figures with 12 and 11 respectively.
UT Tyler will return home on Thursday and Saturday for Lone Star Conference games against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico.
