Patriots Earn #2 Seed in NCAA South Central Region Tournament

TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler men's tennis is heading back to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in as many years as they qualify for the NCAA South Central Region Tournament as the numer two seed.
 
The Patriots will take on #3 seed Midwestern State in the tournament with a berth in the NCAA Round of 16 on the line.
 
The NCAA Tournament Round of 16 will feature two teams from each region that will all meet in Lake Nona, Florida for their chance at an NCAA Division II title.
 
The South Central Region consists of four teams, all from the Lone Star Conference. Cameron is the one seed and they will take on four seed Lubbock Christian.
 
The Patriots are fresh off of securing their second ever Lone Star Conference Regular Season Championship, and then made an appearance in the LSC Tournament finals before falling 4-3.
 
UT Tyler will battle it out with Midwestern State on Friday at 11 a.m. as the Patriots will look for their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Round of 16.
