Abeni Kratzmeyer,
Brooklyn House, and
Ty McDaniel have each earned qualification into the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships that will be held from May 25-27 in Pueblo, Colorado at CSU-Pueblo.
Abeni Kratzmeyer will be making her second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and third appearance overall after qualifying in the women's pole vault. Kratzmeyer set a season best mark in the discipline at the J Fred Duckett Twilight Meet hosted by Rice back on April 22. In that event, she cleared a height of 4.02 meters to take home the top spot. Kratzmeyer has now finished first in five different meets this spring, including the 2023 LSC Outdoor Championships, and holds the 10
th best mark in all of Division II.
Brooklyn House will be making her first ever appearance at an NCAA Championship meet as she earns qualification in the women's discus throw. House posted her best throw of the season at the East Texas Invitational on April 14, a mark of 46.90 meters, that doubled as a school record and gave her second place. On the year, House has one event victory and five total top five finishes this spring while posting the 18
th best mark in Division II.
Ty McDaniel will be making his first ever appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships after qualifying himself in the men's hammer throw. McDaniel posted his best mark of the season of 60.14 meters at the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi back on April 6 on his way to a new school record and a second place finish. On the season, McDaniel has seven top five finishes and one win while delivering the 19
th best mark in Division II.
Kratzmeyer, House, and McDaniel will each get plenty of time to hone their craft before heading to Pueblo, Colorado for the meet on May 25-27.
