LAST TIME OUT
Â
Last weekend, only the Patriots women were in action, as they played host to Ouachita Baptist. In that match, the Tigers took home the doubles point to gain the early lead, but the Patriots responded with winning the first set in singles in five of the six matches on their way to nearly sweeping the singles points and picking up a 5-2 win.
Â
WHAT COACH BIZOT IS SAYING
Â
On the season start: "It was a tough road trip in Mississippi. We knew Mississippi College would be good on both sides. We had a lot of opportunities to win but it is a tricky place to play and it's hard to win on the road in our sport. I was really proud of how we responded last weekend in the win over Ouachita Baptist."
Â
On the huge homestand: "It's going to get progressively harder as we go for both teams. We are excited to get some really solid programs to Tyler, and that's something we haven't really had in the past. Hopefully we compete really well, and every match will be tough. It's really going to be about how organized we are throughout the week and making sure we can do our part in getting the win."
