LAST TIME OUT
 
UT Tyler tennis put together a big weekend last week on their home courts as they battled with Cameron and UAFS. On the men's side, they went 2-0 with a 5-2 win over the Aggies and then a 6-1 win over UAFS as both matches featured strong singles play.
 
On the women's side, they went an even 1-1, narrowly falling to Cameron 4-3 as the match went down to the wire, and then putting together a brilliant effort to take a 6-1 win over UAFS.
 
ITA RANKINGS
 
This week the men's program is ranked #19 in the latest ITA Rankings, holding the same spot for a second consecutive week. They are led by both 
Joaquin Bianchi and 
Egor Shestakov, who are ranked #15 and #62, respectively, in singles. Shestakov also pairs with teammate 
Daniil Felker to create the #34 ranked doubles pair in the rankings.
 
On the women's side, 
Muskan Gupta has climbed up to #11 in the ITA singles rankings and pairs with teammate 
Allison Schwartz to create the #36 ranked doubles pair in the ITA Rankings!
 
THIS WEEK'S SLATE
 
This week sees both programs take on a pair of tough opponents in Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State. On the men's side, the Chaps are ranked #37 in the ITA Rankings, and they are ranked #20 on the women's side.
 
The Chaps men's program is 14-4 on the season and 2-2 in LSC play. They have split their last two LSC matches, a 7-0 win over Western New Mexico and a 5-2 defeat to UT Permian Basin. They are led in singles by Martins Abamu, who is 13-5 in the dual match season and 12-2 in the #1 line. In doubles, it is the pair of Kelley Geise and Braden Tipton who lead the way, posting a 13-5 dual match record and 12-4 in the #1 line.
 
On the women's side, the Chaps are 18-4 on the year and 3-3 in LSC play. They are winners of their last two matches, both 6-1 wins over Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin. They are led in singles by Michelle Trochez, who boasts a 14-9 record in dual matches this year. In doubles, it is the pair of Anastas Khrustaleva and Anastasiia Opolska, who are 10-6 in dual matches with all of those coming in the #2 line.
 
Midwestern State will come into Saturday's matches ranked #18 on the men's side and #4 on the women's side.
 
On the men's side, they are 9-7 overall on the year and have now won five matches in a row including four straight over LSC opponents. They are led in singles by Philip Kamara, who boasts an 8-5 record in singles matches thus far. In doubles, it is the pair of Luis Diaz Argente and Stephen Slocombe who are 9-4 overall, with all 13 matches coming in the #1 line.
 
On the women's side, the Mustangs are 14-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in LSC play. They have won their last seven matches in a row dating back to March 20
th. They are led in singles by Anda Ghinga, who is 15-1 in her dual matches this year including a perfect 10-0 in the #3 line. In doubles, it is the pair of Ghinga and Jessica Binzari, who are 10-5 overall and 9-5 in the #1 line.
