INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – UT Tyler has earned the #1 seed in the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament and the right to host a first round matchup on their home courts after a tremendous season under head coach
Chris Bizot.
The Patriots have earned their third consecutive top two seed and will host a tournament match for the third consecutive season at Summers Tennis Center.
The Patriots will play host to #4 seed Lubbock Christian on Monday, May 13 at 2 p.m. to determine who will advance to the NCAA Round of 16 to be held in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
The Patriots and Chaps will be joined in the South Central Region by #2 seed Midwestern State and #3 seed UT Permian Basin, with those two teams facing off in Wichita Falls, Texas.
UT Tyler has laid claim to their second Lone Star Conference Tournament title in program history this season after a magical run through the field that saw them take down the #6, #2, and #1 seeds on their way to the title. They are 19-5 on the year and 6-2 in LSC play heading into the NCAA Tournament.
