TYLER, TEXAS - The University of Texas at Tyler Athletic Department has announced its 2024 Hall of Fame Class as Beth Launius (women's tennis), Lindsey Peters (softball), Whitney Simmons (women's track and field) Chestley Strother (women's soccer) and the 2003 men's soccer team will comprise the third Hall of Fame Class in program history.
"We our vey excited to announce our 2024 Hall of Fame class!" UT Tyler Interim Director of Athletics Chris Bizot said, "These four individuals and this team team laid the foundation for UT Tyler Athletics. We are so proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to honor them this fall!"
The group will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19th at 9:30 a.m. Those planning to attend or would like inquire about ticket pricing are asked to please RSVP with Mychele Hughes at mhughes@uttyler.edu.
