RICHARDSON, TEXAS – Arnie Taguines has been named the Lone Star Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after another elite performance at the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational.
 
This is Taguines third LSC Women's Golfer of the Week award over the last two seasons and first in the 2025-26 season.
 
Taguines shot 71 and 75 over the two round event, working her way to a ninth place finish on the individual leaderboard while leading the team to a tie for fourth place, their fourth consecutive top five finish to start the year. That one under 71 was one of just nine under par rounds in the first round of the event.
 
That play for Taguines has helped the Patriots to the #6 ranking in the latest Scoreboard Rankings powered by Clippd. Individually, Taguines has now launched herself to #22 after being #33 in last week's rankings.
 
UT Tyler has now wrapped their fall slate, and will get back to work at The Southern Invite on February 16 and 17^th.
