TYLER, TEXAS – The UT Tyler volleyball program continued its strong conference play on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Western New Mexico 3–0 (25–18, 28–26, 25–11) at the Herrington Patriot Center to improve to 13–10 overall and 9–4 in the Lone Star Conference.
The Patriots were dominant from start to finish, leaning on efficient offense and steady serving to earn their fourth straight victory at home.
The opening set saw UT Tyler jump out early behind a balanced attack.
Autumn Perry and
Sydney Atkinson led the way as the Patriots hit .316 as a team, posting 17 kills and only five errors.
Alyson Robbins made an instant impact off the bench, hammering down multiple kills during a mid-set surge that pushed UT Tyler ahead 17–9. Western New Mexico attempted to rally late, but the Patriots' front-row defense and clean execution sealed the 25–18 decision.
Set two proved to be the most tightly contested of the afternoon, featuring seven ties and several lead changes. Both sides traded momentum throughout, with the Mustangs finding rhythm on the outside. Still, the Patriots refused to waver—responding each time Western New Mexico evened the score.
Kaitlyn Davis and Perry combined for clutch swings late, and Atkinson's steady presence on the right side gave UT Tyler the edge. A Western New Mexico attack error and a final block from Davis and

The Patriots left no doubt in the third set, overwhelming the Mustangs with one of their most efficient offensive frames of the season. UT Tyler hit .394 as a team, tallying 16 kills to just three errors while holding Western New Mexico to a .129 mark. Setter

Alyson Robbins led the offense with 12 kills on a .455 percentage. Both Atkinson and Perry added 11 each. Rivera and Clinton combined for 35 assists, and Arceneaux added 20 digs.
The win lifts the Patriots to 9–4 in league play as they continue to solidify their position in the Lone Star Conference standings. UT Tyler will look to build on its momentum next week as they hit the road to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International.
