INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler volleyball is number 10 in the final edition of the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings as announced Wednesday afternoon by the organization.
The winners of the Lone Star Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournaments will win automatic qualification into the tournament field, with the remaining six teams filled out via at-large bids. The selections will be announced Monday, November 24
th at 6:30 p.m. on NCAA.com via an online selection show.
The South Central Regional Tournament will be played December 4-7 at the number one seed's host site.
The Patriots enter the regional rankings for the first time this week as they slide into the number 10 spot. MSU Denver holds the top spot over West Texas A&M and UCCS to round out the top three. Just ahead of UT Tyler is St. Mary's at number nine, who the Patriots will face in the first round of the LSC Tournament.
The Patriots are looking for their fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, one for each year of Division II eligibility.
UT Tyler faces St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the LSC Tournament in San Angelo, Texas.
