SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – UT Tyler volleyball earned six All-Lone Star Conference selections as announced at the season ending banquet on Wednesday night in San Angelo, Texas.
Saige Rivera was named to the
LSC All-Academic Team and was also an
All-LSC Second Team honoree. The senior management major from Temecula, California earned her second straight nod on both fronts and is just the third player in program history to earn two LSC Academic Team honors. Rivera leads the team in assists with 689 which ranks sixth in the LSC and is the team leader in sets played at 92.
Autumn Perry earned
All-LSC First Team honors for the first time in her career. The junior outside hitter from Wylie, Texas has been the Patriots leader on offense throughout the year, leading the team in kills, points, and kills per set while ranking fifth in the LSC in kills per set and seventh in points per set. This is her second All-LSC nod, joining an Honorable Mention honor from last season.
Alyson Robbins was named to the
All-LSC Honorable Mention Team for her first All-LSC honor of her career. The sophomore from Arlington, Texas leads the team with a .308 attack percentage (the sixth best mark in the LSC) while totaling 142 kills and 27 blocks on the year.
Anna Arceneaux joins Robbins on the
All-LSC Honorable Mention Team and is also a part of the
LSC All-Freshman Team. Arceneaux has played a major role as the team's libero throughout the year, leading the team in digs and ranking eighth in the LSC in total digs and fourth in digs per set. She is the only primarily defensive player on the LSC All-Freshman Team, and is just the third Patriots player in program history to earn a spot on the team.
UT Tyler will take on St. Mary's in the quarterfinal round of the LSC Tournament on Thursday at 4 p.m. in San Angelo, Texas as they look to begin their postseason push.
