TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler baseball moved up in the D2 Baseball, ABCA, and NCBWA Top 25 Polls after a four game series sweep of Texas A&M International to move to 10-2 on the season.
In this week's D2 Baseball poll, the Patriots moved up to #9 this week from #13. They are joined by LSC foes #2 Angelo State, as well as St. Edward's, Lubbock Christian, and West Texas A&M who are each Receiving Votes.
In the ABCA Coaches Poll, the Patriots climbed up to #7 in this week's poll after being #16 in the preseason edition of the rankings. This is the first poll of the regular season for the ABCA, and the Patriots are joined by #2 Angelo State, #26 West Texas A&M and #27 Lubbock Christian.
In the NCBWA Top 25 rankings released on Wednesday, the Patriots launched themselves up to #12 this week after being #17 last week. They are joined in the poll by #2 Angelo State and Receiving Votes St. Edward's.
For the Patriots, this is the highest they have been ranked in the Division II era of the program in any of the three polls mentioned.
The Patriots have put together an explosive offense early in the year, ranking 6

th in doubles per game, 5
th in batting average, 21
st in slugging percentage, 9
th in runs, and 18
th in scoring.
UT Tyler will host Texas A&M-Kingsville in a four game series beginning on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Irwin Field.
