THE FALL SLATE
Â
Last fall the Patriots played through the individual portion of their schedule and enjoyed strong success.
Carel Wessel would go on to claim the 2024 ITA South Central Region singles championship, and he also partnered with teammate
Daniil Felker to claim the ITA South Central Region doubles championship. Those two wins ensured the Patriots pair would qualify for the ITA Cup, just the second time in the Division II era of the program that the Patriots qualified a player in both singles and doubles.
Â
On the women's side,
Paula Castellanos had a big ITA South Central Regional Tournament as she made a run all the way to the semifinals of the singles consolation bracket. Over in doubles, the pair of
Yona Bancarel and
Allison Schwartz would become consolation bracket champions as they rebounded from an opening round loss with four straight wins to earn the title.
Â
ITA RANKINGS
Heading into the spring slate, the Patriots men are ranked #16 in Division II and are the top ranked team amongst LSC foes. Individually,
Carel Wessel is the #11 ranked singles player, and he pairs with teammate Danill Felker to create the #16 ranked doubles team. Additionally,
Jordi Garcia Portell and Arhur Miquelard are the #23 ranked doubles pair.
