Last week saw the Patriots go 2-0 in LSC play, taking down Cameron and Oklahoma Christian. The Patriots looked dominant in both, winning each game by over 20 points. The Patriots shot 47% or higher in each game from the field, and on Saturday against the Eagles they shot a blistering 40% from beyond the arc. They held the Aggies to just 36% from the field and the Eagles to just 29% on their way to the two blowout wins.

The Patriots continue to stand as a top 10 ranked program in the WBCA Top 25 and the D2CSC Top 25. The Patriots remained #7 in the WBCA poll this week as each of the top seven teams went unblemished. In the D2CSC poll, the Patriots remained #6 as the top six also went unblemished in their weekend action.

PATRIOTS NOTES AND TRENDS

- UT Tyler finished the 2023-24 season 27-9 overall and made their second consecutive NCAA Sweet 16. That win mark is tied for the most in the NCAA Division II era of the program. The Patriots are the only team in the South Central Region to win a game in each of the last two NCAA Tournaments.
- Last season the Patriots finished 13-2 on their home floor and are now 11-1 this season, raising their mark to 46-7 under head coach Rebecca Alvidrez inside the Herrington Patriot Center.
- In the last four seasons (including 2024-25), the Patriots are a combined 31-13 in non-conference matchups, including a 12-3 record at home in non-conference games.
- Head Coach Rebecca Alvidrez is now 101-47 all time in her four season career, and she is 92-28 in her time at UT Tyler.
- Coach Alvidrez won her 100th career game on January 30th, 2025 as the Patriots took down Cameron. It took just 148 games for Alvidrez to reach the milestone, and she is in just her fifth season as a head coach.
- The Patriots dominant defense has shown throughout the season yet again, as they rank inside the top 30 nationally in field goal percentage defense (2nd), scoring defense (6th), scoring margin (12th), and three point percentage defense (13th).
- On the offensive side, the Patriots have hit their stride, now ranking inside the top 50 nationally in three pointers per game (10th), assist/turnover ratio (16th), assists per game (24th), and free throw percentage (15th).

RATTLERS NOTES AND TRENDS
- St. Mary's heads into the week at 11-9 on the season and 7-7 in LSC play. They have won four of their last six LSC matchups, but lost their most recent game to Texas A&M-Kingsville.
- The Rattlers are scoring 58.2 points per game to their opponents 57.9. St. Mary's is shooting at a 40% clip from the floor and 27% from deep while their opponents are shooting 35% from the floor and 26% from deep.
- Christin Callens is the undisputed leader on offense, scoring 13.1 points per game on 47% shooting. She is second on the team in rebounding while also posting 19 steals and 24 assists.
- Valerie Huizar is in charge of the Rattlers program and is in her third season with the team. She holds a record of 25-51with the Rattlers and is 66-72 in her career after spending two seasons as the head coach at LSU-Shreveport.
- The Patriots hold a 5-4 record all-time against St. Mary's, now having won the last three. They have also won five of the last six.

HILLTOPPERS NOTES AND TRENDS
- St. Edward's is 10-13 on the year and 6-8 in LSC play. They have also won four of their last six matchups, and their last game was a win over Texas A&M International.
- The Hilltoppers are scoring 64.7 points per game on 40% shooting and 30% from beyond the arc. Their opponents are scoring 62.3 points per game on 39% shooting and 32% from beyond the arc.
- Leading the charge on offense is JP Perkins. Perkins is averaging 14.1 points per game on 43% shooting from the floor and 32% from deep. She also leads the team in both assists and steals and grabs 4.7 rebounds per game.
- The Hilltoppers are led by head coach J.J. Riehl in her 13th season. She has compiled a career record of 175-179, all with St. Edward's.
- UT Tyler leads the all-time series at 6-3, winning the last six contests.
