UT Tyler senior Emmerson Doyle was named the Lone Star Conference Women's Golfer of the Week Thursday morning. She is the first Patriot this fall to recieve the honor.

The Patriots senior carded a 3-over-par 71-72-76—219 to lead UT Tyler to a co-runner-up team finish at the NCAA Championship Preview at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. Individually, Doyle finished tied for fifth place in the field of 73 golfers. She had an eagle in the final round and was one of just three golfers who were under par in the opening round (all were 1-under). It was Doyle's second straight top 10 finish after ending the DBU Classic in eighth place with scores of 76-72-74.

UT Tyler and Doyle will look to carry their momentum into the Battle for the Belt against Henderson State and others starting Sunday Oct 11th at Hot Springs Country Club in Arkansas.
