Samuel Antwi has been named the Lone Star Conference Men's Singles Player of the Week after a big Spring Break week for the Patriots.
Antwi went 2-0 last week in the #4 line and helped propel the Patriots to wins over #10 Catawba and #12 North Georgia in neutral site matches in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Against the Indians, Antwi split his opening two sets at 6-3, 1-6 before battling back with another brilliant 6-3 set to claim the big win.
Against the Nighthawks he was even better, ripping off a straight set win in scores of 6-3, 6-2.
With the two wins, Antwi is now 12-0 on the season in singles, with nine of those 12 wins coming in straight sets.
He is the first men's player to win the singles award this season and joins teammates

Antwi and the Patriots will take on Hawaii-Hilo this Friday at 1 p.m. at Summers Tennis Center in their lone matchup of the week.
