TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler women's basketball members Mileina Sablinskaite and Polina Latysheva each earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District as announced on Tuesday.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
 
Sablinskaite, a senior from Santa Ponsa, Spain and a psychology major, recently wrapped up her strong playing career with the Patriots. She was a member of the program from 2024-2026, spending a pair of seasons with the team after transferring from Central Arizona College. Her senior season saw her start all 33 games and average 24.6 minutes per game. She scored 6.4 points per game, averaged 5.8 rebounds, and added 72 total steals. She was also named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week in the first week of the season.
 
Latysheva, a junior from Moscow, Russia and a management major, recently completed her third season with the program. She was named All-LSC Second Team for her second all-conference nod of her career after scoring 10.2 points per game while adding 114 assists and 75 steals, both team-highs.
