Assistant coach Kourtney Chumbley was named the ITA Women's South Central Regional Assistant Coach of the Year. She played a pivotal role in helping the Patriots to their first conference title since the 2018 season in just her first season with UT Tyler.

Carel Wessel was named the ITA South Central Regional Senior Player of the Year. Wessel made his second consecutive ITA Cup after qualifying in doubles. He backed up that fall performance with an 18-3 record this spring in singles and a 12-11 record in doubles. Wessel is currently ranked #50 in the ITA Singles Rankings and is #14 in doubles. He becomes just the second player to earn the senior of the year award, joining Gonzalo Fernandez Gil in 2023.

Samuel Antwi was named the ITA South Central Regional Player to Watch. He has been electric for the Patriots this season, going an unblemished 23-0 in singles play this year to climb all the way up to #12 in the latest rankings. He is also 13-2 in doubles play, now having won each of his last 10 matches. He is just the second player in program history to earn the award, joining Robert Sajovich from the 2009 season.

Both sides of UT Tyler tennis won their regional tournament matchups and have now advanced to the NCAA Round of 16. The women will begin their championship quest on May 19, while the men will begin on May 20. Both NCAA Tournaments will take place at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona.
