THE LSC TOURNAMENT
The Patriots put together a tough run at the LSC Tournament on their way to a second straight runner-up finish. They took the #1 seed heading in on the heels of their first ever Lone Star Conference Regular Season title.
They faced off with #4 seed Angelo State in the semifinals in a back and forth affair that would go down as one of the top matches of the year. The Patriots would hold the upper hand, getting a 6-0, 6-4 win from
Paula Castellanos in the final match in singles.
That win pushed them to the championship match where they took on #2 seed Midwestern State. The Patriots picked up wins in the #5 and #6 lines, but the Mustangs put the pressure on and took a 4-2 win to claim the title.
THE NCAA SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL
This will be the first ever NCAA Division II Tournament appearance for the women's program and first overall since all the way back in 2018 when they were a Division III program. This will be their 10

The South Central Region is made up of four teams playing at two host sites. The winners of those two matches will then move into the NCAA Round of 16 and the final site of competition at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona. That competition will take place May 19-23.
UT Tyler has never made it to the final site, and are just one win away from accomplishing that feat.
THE LADY CHAPS
Lubbock Christian carries the #4 seed in the region and comes in at a record of 15-6 on the year and 8-2 in LSC play. They dropped their quarterfinal matchup to Cameron in the LSC Tournament in their most recent action.
