2018-19: Alford led the Patriots in scoring during his freshman season with 18.6 points per game. He played in 24 games and garnered the start on 14 occasions while grabbing four rebounds and handing out one assist per contest. He was a lockdown defender leading the team with 51 steals, nearly double the next closest Patriot. Alford surpassed 20 points on 12 occasions during his freshman season and set a season-high with 31 points against LeTourneau on January 31. At the end of the season, he was named the ASC East Division Tri-Freshman of the year along with being named to the ASC East Division All-Freshman team and the ASC All-East Division Second Team.
