Ezequeil Tenorio

Ezequeil Tenorio joined the UT Tyler men’s basketball staff in April 2026 and will enter his first season with the program in 2026–27.

Tenorio most recently served as an assistant coach at Clarendon College, where he was heavily involved in scouting, game preparation, and the development of student-athletes. He also played a key role in recruiting, coordinating team travel, and assisting with overall program management. 

Prior to Clarendon, Tenorio worked as an assistant coach at Fort Scott Community College, contributing to all aspects of the program including coaching, scouting, recruiting, and skill development. His experience also includes time as a graduate assistant at the University of Central Missouri, where he utilized advanced analytics platforms such as Synergy, Hudl, and FastScout to support scouting and game preparation, while also assisting with recruiting, academics, and daily operations. 

Tenorio began his coaching journey at Texas State University, where he served as Head Student Manager. During his time there, the program captured a Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship, and he gained valuable experience in operations, team logistics, and player support. 

In addition to his collegiate experience, Tenorio has worked with the Texas Impact grassroots program, further expanding his recruiting network and player evaluation experience at the high school level. 

A Texas native, Tenorio earned his master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Central Missouri and holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University, with a minor in Psychology.
