McKade Marquis

Mckade Marquis enters his third seasons on the sidelines at UT Tyler as a member of the men's basketball coaching staff.

Marquis most recently spent the 2023-24 season as the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator under head coach Dr. Tim Moser following a season as the offensive coordinator under head coach Louis Wilson in 2022-23. Marquis began his coaching career following a four-year collegiate playing career at The University of Texas at Arlington and The University of Texas at Tyler.

The Whitehouse, Texas native was a key piece of a staff that led UT Tyler to it's highest ranking at the NCAA Division II level in 2022-23 (no. 19), mentoring a pair of All-Lone Star Conference selections in Rashun Williams and Milan Szabo. He was tasked with heading up the offensive scouting reports and on-court preparation during that season while also assisting in all recruiting efforts.

Marquis took over as the lead recruiter within the program upon the hiring of Dr. Tim Moser prior to the 2023-24 season while continuing to assist in all aspects of the program.

Marquis gained valuable coaching experience as a personal basketball skills trainer prior to transitioning into a full-time coaching role, and also served as a head coach of the Whitehouse Little Dribblers program from 2016-18. 

The former Whitehouse Wildcat was. a three-year team captain at Whitehouse High School, helping lead the program to a pair of District Championships and an appearance in the regional round of the Texas High School Basketball State Championships during his prep career. His collegiate career began at UT Arlington during which time he served as a team captain for two seasons and as a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and ended as a graduate transfer for the Patriots.

Marquis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Universal Studies from UT Arlington and is currently pursing a Master's Degree in Kinesiology from UT Tyler.
