Edward Yu recently finished his first year with the UT Tyler Sports Medicine staff in 2022-2023 and served as the primary athletic trainer for men's basketball and women's golf.
Yu previously served as the head athletic trainer and performance coach for Texas United USL 2. Prior to being the head athletic trainer, Yu also served as a trainer for the Texas United Academy, Texas Legends Summer Camps, and various individual athletes at the collegiate level.
Yu graduated with his Bachelor of Life Science in 2016 from National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan, and then went on to receive his Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas in 2020. While going to school at UT Arlington, Yu served various roles for softball, tennis, and women's basketball.
