Mateus Pedroso recently concluded his fifth season at UT Tyler serving as a cornerstone of the women's basketball coaching staff since the arrival of head coach Rebecca Alvidrez, playing a key role in developing the program into one of the nation's top Division II teams.
During his tenure, the Patriots have achieved a 120-42 overall record and have now competed in four consecutive NCAA Tournaments. In 2023, the program made it to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight, the first trip in the Division II era and second in program history.
Pedroso played collegiately at Eastern Wyoming College under storied JUCO coach Tim Moser.
