CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The UT Tyler Men's Basketball team picked up their second straight victory after defeating Ozarks on Monday night. The Patriots defeated the Eagles 87-78, moving to 8-10 overall.
Both teams would trade buckets and leads as UT Tyler and Ozarks played to a 17-17 draw as the first half neared its midpoint. Ozarks would open a nine point lead with just over three minutes remaining, the largest lead for either team to that point. A 12-4 Patriot run would bring the game within a point as the first half ended.
The Patriots took back the lead just 14 seconds into the second half as
Lense Ramey drained a jumper, putting UT Tyler up by one. A three from
Omar Mohamed with just over 17 minutes remaining gave UT Tyler the lead for good. Over the next 17 minutes, UT Tyler controlled play, never giving up their advantage. UT Tyler pushed their lead to 13 at the largest margin before taking the game 87-78.

Just two days removed from scoring 31,
Darius Alford led the way for UT Tyler, dropping 25 points in the win. Alford added five rebounds.
Chris Craig finished with 16 points while
Omar Mohamed scored 15 points, recording wight rebounds.
Lense Ramey hit three shots from behind the arc, finishing with 15 points. Tyick Bennett finished with a double-double scoring 12 points, hauling in 11 boards.
