TYLER, Texas - The UT Tyler Men's Basketball team hosted LeTourneau University on Saturday. The Patriots fell 68-82, moving to 8-12 overall.
The Patriots opened a game on a 7-2 run that lasted nearly three minutes. UT Tyler would hold their lead until LETU took their first advantage with 13:49 on the clock. UT Tyler would take the lead on three other occasions in the first half, as late as 9:25 remaining. After the buzzer sounded, UT Tyler trailed 31-39.
UT Tyler cut the lead to three points with a strong start to the second half. A pair of three's from
Darius Alford would knot the game at 39 just two minutes into the second half. UT Tyler would fall behind by 10 with just over 14 minutes remaining. The Patriots would remain within striking distance before a pair of free throws and a late three put the Patriots down 14 late.

Darius Alford who recorded 31 points for the Patriots. Alford added five steals and four rebounds.
Omar Mohamed scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds while
Tyrick Bennett finished the night with nine boards and nine points.
