A STRONG ROAD EFFORT
The UT Tyler women's soccer team lost for just the second time in 2022 last Saturday in a tightly-contested road match against #10 West Texas A&M. UT Tyler held the lead twice throughout the match, but conceded a pair of West Texas A&M goals less than 10 minutes apart in the 58
th and 66
th minutes to drop just their second decision of the 2022 season. SeniorÂ

Faith Adje gave UT Tyler a second lead in the 55
th minute to provide the two goals for the Patriots on the afternoon. The Patriot's two losses in 2022 have both come on the road against ranked opposition in #10 West Texas A&M and #1 DBU.Â
THE MATCH UP
Lubbock Christian has managed to stay unbeaten so far in 2022 with a record of 6-0-5 on the year, and enters Saturday's match in fourth place in the league standings with 11 points. The Lady Chaps tied West Texas A&M by a 0-0 final in their most recent action on Wednesday night, and also hold a 1-1 tie against #1 DBU. Senior Lexi De La Cruz ranks third in the LSC with eight goals on the year. De La Cruz and freshman Graycen Rasmussen, who has five goals, have provided the majority of the offense for Lubbock Christian. Freshman Abby Kone has played in all 990:00 minutes thus far, and has conceded nine goals in 11 games. The Lady Chaps hold a 2-0 record all-time against the Patriots, having shutout UT Tyler by 1-0 and 3-0 final scores in 2021 and 2019.

The UT Tyler women's soccer team will recognize nine seniors prior to Saturday's kick who will be competing in their final game as Patriots. Saturday's ceremony will take prior to warm-ups at 12:45.
A LOOK AT THE STANDINGS
As the conference schedule reaches it's midway point, the standings have started to take shape in what will be a race to the finish line for one of the seven spots available in the 2022 Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship Tournament on Nov. 1-6. UT Tyler will face six teams that sit ahead of them in the standings over the course of the next few weeks, giving head coach
Stefani Webb's team a golden opportunity to quickly make up ground and jump into the top seven.

Head coachÂ
Stefani Webb is in her 18th season as head coach of the Patriots and has accumulated a 197-88-22 overall record along the way. Webb led the Patriots to 10 or more wins in every season during the Division III era of the program from 2005-2018, culminating in NCAA Division III National Tournament bids in both 2014 and 2015. Webb holds a career record of 287-134-29 after serving eight seasons as the head coach at the University of Dallas from 1997-2004.
THE BEST START IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The UT Tyler women's soccer team began the season with a 5-0 record for the first time in the 22 years of the program, and completed their non-conference schedule with an undefeated record. The Patriots outscored their non-conference competition by a 19-to-4 margin. UT Tyler completed the 2015 season with an undefeated regular season record, but tied in the fourth game of the season, officially making the 2022 start to the season the best in program history.
