PITCHER OF THE WEEK
UT Tyler senior
Jacey Henry was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Henry was an instrumental piece in #1 UT Tyler collecting a pair of wins over #20 Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday afternoon, clinching the 2022 Lone Star Conference Softball Regular Season Championship and the no. 1 seed in the 2022 LSC Softball Championships in the process.
Henry, a senior out of Marietta, Okla., tossed a complete game in the 4-1 game two victory for the Patriots, an outing which solidified UT Tyler's 40
th win of the 2022 season and moved their conference record to 26-4 on the year. The senior went the full 7.0 innings despite a nearly four-hour weather delay following the end of the third inning, and returned to the circle to complete her final four innings while conceding just a single, unearned run in the top of the seventh.
The weekly award is the second for the program this season, as freshman
Kaylee Davis garnered LSC Pitcher of the Week honors as well back on April 12th.
