LAST TIME OUT

The Patriots played host to Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico in Lone Star Conference play last weekend, and the Patriots continued to put together a tremendous start to their conference slate. They won both games by 20 points or more, marking a run of four straight games won by at least 19 points to begin LSC play. In the run, only one opponent has scored more than 50 points, and the Patriots have scored 68 or more in all four.

WHAT COACH ALVIDREZ IS SAYING

On the weekend sweep: "There's a lot of positives, not only from the girls that have contributed all year, but it is also showing a lot of growth. We're growing in areas we need to grow in and Mariah Neal even had two great games defensively as well. There are a lot of people growing and that is a lot of fun in both ways."

On the bench production: "When you have depth, it is very positive. It is a long season and it is important that we are playing our best towards the end of the season. If we add those that are out, I hope we continue to get stronger. Having a purpose in everything that we do is important and we are working on that every day."

On this weekend's slate: "After we came back from Colorado, our hope was to play to the Christmas break at 10-3 and we are two wins away from that. Our goal is to finish the year on a high note and that's what we are going to try and work on."

AROUND THE LONE STAR CONFERENCE

The Patriots remain as one of the two teams at 4-0 through the first two weekends of LSC action, joined by Texas Woman's. Those two both have a hold on the East Division, with the next closest team at 2-2. Leading the West Division is five teams at 3-1 on the year, UT Permian Basin, Lubbock Christian, Angelo State, and West Texas A&M.
