WHAT COACH WEBB IS SAYING

About last week's matches with St. Mary's and Eastern New Mexico...
"St. Mary's is really good. I thought they had the better of us in the first half, but we made some adjustments at halftime and I thought we were really good in the second half. We were pushing to get that equalizer late in the second half so we gave up the transition goal late, but we had every opportunity to tie the game. We came home and played a tough one against Eastern New Mexico. We gave up a goal early, so mentally that makes you have that come-from-behind mentality early, and I thought we fought really hard but it made us maybe a little uneasy. We knew we had to chase the game and get a goal and I thought that made us play a little tight when we needed to just enjoy the moment a little more."

On two tough opponents on the schedule this week... "You know last year we went on a big run early and then tripped on our own feet late, so this year we're tripping early so that we can go on a big run at the end. DBU Is incredible. I'm surprised they're not ranked higher, watching their film they are a very good team. The game plan's got to be spot on and our courage has to come out. Then we go on the road to UT Permian Basin, another long road trip at a tough place to play. It's going to be really hot and so at this point there's no more excuses to anything, it's go time."
