ROSTER SCHEDULE STATS

LAST TIME OUT

Last week saw UT Tyler play just one contest, but it was their biggest one of the season to date as they went on the road to Denton, Texas to face off with then #5 Texas Woman's. In the matchup, the Patriots held off the Pioneers for nearly the entire contest, as they trailed for just 24 seconds of gametime. Tina Machalova worked her magic with 17 points and a game sealing rebound in the waning moments, and the Patriots knocked off the Pioneers 61-55.

NATIONAL ATTENTION

With the huge upset win, the Patriots have again garnered national attention in the WBCA Top 25 Poll. They launched themselves back into the Receiving Votes category, a spot they were last in on November 21. They are one of three teams in the LSC associated with the poll, joining now #18 Texas Woman's, and #25 Texas A&M International.

BACK TO BACK

With that bigtime performance against Texas Woman's, Tina Machalova earned her second consecutive Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week award. That marks just the second time in program history that a player has won back-to-back LSC weekly awards. Machalova scored 17 points and made four three pointers while also chipping in three rebounds and three assists on the night.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE UPDATE

Following the Patriots win over Texas Woman's on Saturday, they now stand at a perfect 5-0 in LSC play and are the only undefeated team remaining. This marks the first time since the Patriots joined the LSC that they have sole possession of first place. Additionally, the Patriots are 1-0 in East Division play, joining Texas A&M International, UAFS and Midwestern State in teams that have 1-0 records in their respective divisions.
