WHAT COACH WEBB IS SAYING

On last week's combined 12-0 shutout of Sul Ross State and West Texas A&M... "I thought the girls played well. Leading up to the games last week we were kind of in a scoring rut and so we've been training all week to get ourselves back on track and I thought they did a great job."

On the extended days of rest this week ahead of a Friday-Monday set of games... "Kind-of, sort-of a little bit of a rest. I thought Monday was probably the best day we've had in the weight room all year. We have a unique scenario this week in the fact that the weather is not going to be good, so we're trying to grind out the early days in the week to get some rest later in the week. The team did just that, they worked really hard early in the week and we're excited about the week ahead."

On the opponents Lubbock Christian and Texas Woman's in the first of the final three games of the regular season... "We have three really tough ones in a row. Lubbock Christian who is a point behind us currently and then Texas Woman's who is tied with us, and then Angelo State who is no. 1 in the conference. We have no time to rest and now is the time that we have to dig deep and be at our best."

LAST TIME OUT

A pair of second half goals earned UT Tyler a 2-0 road victory over West Texas A&M on Saturday morning. Graduate student Sydnee Garner broke a scoreless tie three minutes into the second half and an Ella Anderson goal provided an insurance goal a short time later to give the Patriots their tenth win of the 2024 season. Head coach Stefani Webb earned the 300th win of her collegiate coaching career with a victory that capped off a week in which the Patriots out-scored their opposition by a 12-to-0 total.

UT Tyler women's soccer posted multiple offensive program records in a 10-0 victory over Sul Ross State on Wednesday night. The Patriots notched the highest goal total of their Division II era and matched the second highest goal total in a game in program history. UT Tyler recorded 12 assists on those 10 goals, the highest assist total in a single game in the history of the program. The 10 goals marks the second time this season the Patriots have totaled their highest goal total of the Division II era after putting up nine in the 9-0 victory over Jarvis Christian at the beginning of the year. Junior Brooke Mullins scored a hat trick in just over 15 minutes to start the game, scoring in the 5th, 8th and 16th minute to become the 11th Patriot to score three goals in a single game. She added two assists on the other five goals scored by UT Tyler in the first 16 minutes of the game to notch the highest individual point total in a single game with eight. The 32 points for UT Tyler with 10 goals and 12 assists matches the highest point total in a game in program history as well. The historic offensive effort was a group effort as Mullins and Brooklyn Robinson each scored multiple goals and eight different Patriots recorded an assist in the effort. Mullins, Marin LoveAlyssa Palisi and Audrey Varney all chipped in with two assists.
