WHAT COACH SHEPHERD IS SAYING
Â
On the results of the LSC Championships: "It was a good weekend. David did great, All-LSC once again. Brandon and Alejandro stepped up a lot for us. Macy crushed it on the women's side for us. 10
th last year to 8
th this year, so they're only getting better and better.
Â
On the tough schedule preparing the team: "I told them all year if we can compete in these regular season races and do well, it will prepare us for the postseason. We had some people train in Colorado this summer so they understand the altitude, but it's one of those things where you go out and run as well as you can."
Â
On the regional meet schedule: "Last Thursday was our last semi-hard workout. We will leave on Thursday and Friday we will go check out the course and get ready for the meet. It's supposed to snow some of the week and the course will probably be sloppy, but that's what makes it fun."
