WHAT COACH WEBB IS SAYING
On Saturday's historic 9-0 win over Jarvis Christian... "It was a fantastic day. It was really good for us in a lot of ways. We created a lot of goal scoring opportunities, which we've been focusing on. The last few years we've been really good, but we just haven't been clinical in and around the box. I think Saturday allowed us the opportunity to see some really good things."
On the depth of this year's team with all nine goals on Saturday coming from non-starters... "I think our depth is really our biggest strength right now. We are very deep and we have alot of weapons. So we're still trying to find the balance right now, we're still a week away from conference play, so we're trying to figure out who plays best with who. I attribute a lot of our success right now to
Bryan Thompson, he's been doing a fantastic job of really trying to put together the right groupings. I think it's really starting to come together. In our first three games we've had a bunch of goal scorers. So it's really exciting to see that we have all the pieces, now we just have to figure out how to put it all together."
On this week's opponents... "Two really great teams. Both of them provide tactical challenges, they play a bit of a funky formation that you've got to be able to make some adjustments to deal with. We'll have a really good week of training this week to get ready for that, and then both sides are just gritty and hardworking so I think it gets us really prepared for a tough schedule after this."
