So far this season, Ella Anderson has been the driving force for the Patriots offense, leading the team in multiple categories. She tops the roster with five goals, is tied for the team lead in assists with three, and leads in points with 13, shots with 29, and shots on goal with 14. Anderson has also recorded a team-best three game-winning goals. Offensively, UT Tyler has generated 184 total shots, placing 87 on target for a 47 percent shot accuracy rate. On the defensive side, Gabrielle Wiebe has anchored the back line, logging a team-high 1,119 minutes through the first 13 matches. She's been joined by freshman Samantha White, who has also made a strong impact with 1,110 minutes on the field. In goal, Emily Clark and Robbi Curry have shared responsibilities, combining for eight shutouts, 38 saves, and allowing just seven goals this season.
PATRIOTS NEWS AND NOTES
- UT Tyler posted a 10-4-3 overall record last season, finishing ninth in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 5-4-3 mark in league play. At season's end,
Brooke Mullins earned All-Lone Star Conference Third Team honors, while
Natalie Jones led the Patriots in both points (20) and goals (7), securing a spot on the All-Lone Star Conference Second Team.
- Head coach
Stefani Webb is in her 21st season at the helm of the program and recently won the 300th game of her career last fall against West Texas A&M on Oct. 26th. Coach Webb is 219-102-39 (.663) in her tenure as head coach of the Patriots and sits 309-148-46 (.660) in her 27-year head coaching career.
- The Patriots have seen the majority of their success come on their home field during the Division II level and sit 22-14-10 as a Division II program at Citizen's 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex. UT Tyler earned at least a result in all but three home matches in 2024 with a 7-3-1 record and went 1-1-5 on their home pitch in 2023, making for an 8-4-6 record at home over the course of the last two seasons.
- Coach Webb's squad has strung together strong starts in each of the last three seasons, including a tie for a program-best 5-0 opening in 2024. The Patriots have earned results in their first three matches of each of the past three campaigns, facing Rogers State and East Central in all three.
- The 2025 roster will be headlined by a wealth of experience for the Patriots, including
Brooke Mullins, who has twice been named to the All-Lone Star Conference list and was the 2024 Lone Star Conference Academic Athlete of the Year for women's soccer. Another fellow 2024 All-Lone Star Conference pick is set to return to the pitch for UT Tyler in

- The University of Texas at Tyler women's soccer team has been tabbed as the no. 9 selection in the 2025 Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. The Patriots accumulated 347 total votes in the poll to appear ninth in the annual preseason poll, one slot behind Oklahoma Christian and a spot ahead of West Texas A&M. DBU received 29 first-place votes ahead of their quest to win a sixth of the last seven regular season LSC Championship, while Angelo State (defending LSC regular season champion), Texas Woman's, Midwestern State and St. Mary's rounded out the top five. The preseason poll and preseason players of the year are voted on by LSC head coaches, sports information directors and media members.
ABOUT ST. MARY'S
St. Mary's enters the matchup with a 4-4-1 conference record, including a 2-3-1 mark when away, and has outscored opponents 21-20. Last season, the Rattlers went 9-7-3 overall and 7-4-2 in conference play, where they lost thier previous matchup with the Patriots 3-0. Now in his 6th season as a coach for the Rattlers, head coach Kevin Driggs holds a career record of 51-36-16 (.573). Through twelve matches this year, the Rattlers have outshot opponents 170-162, with 42 percent of those shots landing on target. Since the series began in 2019, the two teams are sitting 2-2 against each other.
ABOUT MIDWESTERN STATE
Midwestern State has opened the season with a 7-1-5 record, including an unbeaten 7-0-3 mark in LSC play and 5-0 at home. They are also sitting in second place in the conference standings, four points above the Patriots who are in third. The Mustangs are coming off a 11-5-5 campaign in 2024 that featured a 6-2-5 record in conference play. Ryan Spence is in his ninth season as a head coach, where he has compiled a 62-66-32 career record. Through thirteen matches this fall, Midwestern State has outscored opponents 29-14 while out shooting them 221-97, with 39 percent of those on target. Since the series began in 2019, UT Tyler has yet to record a win as the Mustangs are 6-0-1 against them.
LAST TIME OUT
The UT Tyler women's soccer team improved to 9-2-2 on the season after going 1-1-0 last week. The Patriots moved to 5-1 at home with a dominant performance, posting a season-high five goals in a shutout victory over Sul Ross State. UT Tyler also recorded season highs in both total shots (47) and shots on goal (20) in the matchup against the Lobos. Sophomore standout Ella Anderson made the most of her 28 minutes on the field, scoring two goals and adding an assist to move into the team lead in both categories. Gabrielle Wiebe, Taylor Thibodeau, and Katie Wong each added a goal to round out the Patriots scoring. Defensively, UT Tyler continued its strong play, recording its eighth shutout of the season—seven of which have come against conference opponents.
