LAST TIME OUT

The UT Tyler women's soccer team improved to 6-1-2 on the season after going 1-0-1 last week. The Patriot defense stood tall, holding St. Edward's to just three shots on goal in a scoreless draw. UT Tyler carried that momentum into a Fall Fest matchup against previously unbeaten Texas Woman's, shutting them out for the first time this season and handing them their first loss behind goals from Danica Anaya and Melissa Oliveira. Capping off the week, freshman Samantha White was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week after playing all 180 minutes in the two shutouts, becoming the first freshman in program history to earn the honor.

PATS STATS

Through the first several weeks of the season, Ella Anderson leads the Patriots with eight points, including a team-high three goals on 18 shots, seven of which have been on target. She also tops the team with two game-winning goals. Offensively, UT Tyler has produced 99 shots, putting 50 on frame for a 50 percent accuracy rate. On the defensive side, Gabrielle Wiebe has been a steady force, logging a team-high 786 minutes through the first nine matches. In goal, Emily Clark and Robbi Curry have shared duties, combining for five shutouts, 27 saves, and just six goals allowed this season.
