RICHARDSON, TEXAS – UT Tyler volleyball will take on St. Mary's in their opening round matchup in the LSC Tournament next Thursday afternoon in San Angelo, Texas.
 
This is the sixth straight LSC tournament appearance for UT Tyler as they look to build upon their semifinal appearance from 2024.
 
The Patriots finished 16-11 overall in the regular season and went 12-5 in LSC play, tying the Rattlers for the fourth spot. The Rattlers held the tiebreaker due to their head-to-head win, and will be the home team in the matchup.
 
Angelo State will be the top seeded team and will host the entirety of the tournament. Lubbock Christian is the #2 seed, West Texas A&M is the #3 seed, Texas Woman's is the #6 seed, Oklahoma Christian is the #7 seed, and Texas A&M-Kingsville is the #8 seed to round out the field.
 
UT Tyler will take on St. Mary's at 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. The winner will move on to face the winner of Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
 
The winner of the event will be named the LSC Volleyball Tournament champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship. The selection show is set for Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. The South Central Regional site is to be determined, while the national quarterfinals, semifinals and championship match are scheduled for Dec. 11-13 at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
