THE LSC UPDATE
With last Saturday's LSC results, UT Tyler has secured a second straight appearance in the Lone Star Conference Tournament, the second time they have accomplished back-to-back appearances and first since Spring 2021-Fall 2021.
Due to their transition to Division II, both UT Dallas and Sul Ross State are ineligible for the postseason, despite the Comets remaining on top of the LSC Standings with 22 points.
Midwestern State, Lubbock Christian, St. Edward's, DBU, West Texas A&M, and UT Tyler will compose the field of six teams. Midwestern State is four points clear of Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's and will play host for the semifinal and final rounds.
The quarterfinal rounds are set for Saturday, with the #3 and #4 seed's hosting the #6 and #5 seeds, respectively. UT Tyler and West Texas A&M each have 11 points and are tied for the #5 and #6 seeds, and are each one point back of DBU for the #4 seed and a potential host game.
DBU will play Texas A&M International on Wednesday, and West Texas A&M will face St. Edward's while the Patriots play UT Dallas. The results of all three games will determine the 4-6 seeds in the tournament.
