TYLER, TEXAS – The University of Texas at Tyler women's soccer program has been honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, as announced Thursday.
The prestigious academic award is presented to collegiate programs that maintain a team GPA of 3.0 or higher over the academic year. This year, 697 programs across all collegiate levels (283 men's, 414 women's) received the distinction. UT Tyler is one of just 151 schools to have both its men's and women's soccer programs recognized.
The Patriots finished the 2024 season with a 10-4-3 overall record and went 5-4-3 in Lone Star Conference play, narrowly missing qualification for the LSC Tournament. Several Patriots also earned individual academic honors in the 2024 season. Brooke Mullins, Brooklyn Robinson, Natalie Jones, and Sydnee Garner were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Mullins and Robinson were also named to the LSC All-Academic Team, and Mullins was selected as the Lone Star Conference Academic Athlete of the Year.
UT Tyler will open the 2025 season on September 4 with a road match against Rogers State in Claremore, Oklahoma. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
