TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler volleyball stands in the receiving votes category of the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Preseason Poll as announced on Wednesday.
 
The preseason poll is voted on by a group of AVCA-member coaches that represent schools in each conference and/or different geographic areas.
 
Lynn is the preseason number one and procured 45 of a possible 47 first place votes. They are followed by Angelo State, who earned one first place vote, and St. Cloud State to round out the top three. San Francisco State and Ferris State round out the top five, with Ferris State picking up the lone other first place vote.
 
Four Lone Star Conference teams were associated with the opening poll, including #2 Angelo State, #8 West Texas A&M, (RV) DBU, and (RV) UT Tyler. Additionally, in-region opponents #6 MSU Denver, and #23 Colorado Mesa were also ranked.
 
The Patriots will face the #2, #5, #7, #8 ranked teams within the first three weekends of the season, and will face off with (RV) DBU later in LSC play.
 
The Patriots season begins with #5 Ferris State on September 4^th inside the Herrington Patriot Center as part of the 2025 Patriot Classic.
