UT Tyler women's soccer improved to 3-0 last week with a 2-1 win over Northeastern State on Senior Night, which also served as the Patriots' home opener. Senior Natalie Jones opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing off a perfect setup from fellow senior Brooke Mullins. In the 66th minute, Ella Anderson capitalized on a combination from Marin Love and Quinn Wolfe to give UT Tyler a 2-0 lead with what proved to be the game-winning goal, sealing a strong start to the season as the Patriots head into conference play.

Through the first two weeks, Ella Anderson leads the Patriots with five points, tied for the team-best with two goals on seven shots, three of which have been on target. Both Anderson and Melissa Oliveira have recorded game-winning goals, with Anderson netting two. Offensively, UT Tyler has generated 42 shots, putting 24 on goal for a 57% on-target rate. Defensively, Gabrielle Wiebe has been a steady anchor, logging a team-high 270 minutes across the first three matches.
PATRIOTS NEWS AND NOTES
- UT Tyler posted a 10-4-3 overall record last season, finishing ninth in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 5-4-3 mark in league play. At season's end,
Brooke Mullins earned All-Lone Star Conference Third Team honors, while
Natalie Jones led the Patriots in both points (20) and goals (7), securing a spot on the All-Lone Star Conference Second Team.
- Head coach
Stefani Webb is in her 21st season at the helm of the program and recently won the 300th game of her career last fall against West Texas A&M on Oct. 26th. Coach Webb is 213-100-37 (.661) in her tenure as head coach of the Patriots and sits 303-146-44 (.659) in her 27-year head coaching career.
- The Patriots have seen the majority of their success come on their home field during the Division II level and sit 22-14-10 as a Division II program at Citizen's 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex. UT Tyler earned at least a result in all but three home matches in 2024 with a 7-3-1 record and went 1-1-5 on their home pitch in 2023, making for an 8-4-6 record at home over the course of the last two seasons.
- Coach Webb's squad has strung together strong starts in each of the last three seasons, including a tie for a program-best 5-0 opening in 2024. The Patriots have earned results in their first three matches of each of the past three campaigns, facing Rogers State and East Central in all three.
- The 2025 roster will be headlined by a wealth of experience for the Patriots, including
Brooke Mullins, who has twice been named to the All-Lone Star Conference list and was the 2024 Lone Star Conference Academic Athlete of the Year for women's soccer. Another fellow 2024 All-Lone Star Conference pick is set to return to the pitch for UT Tyler in

- The University of Texas at Tyler women's soccer team has been tabbed as the no. 9 selection in the 2025 Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. The Patriots accumulated 347 total votes in the poll to appear ninth in the annual preseason poll, one slot behind Oklahoma Christian and a spot ahead of West Texas A&M. DBU received 29 first-place votes ahead of their quest to win a sixth of the last seven regular season LSC Championship, while Angelo State (defending LSC regular season champion), Texas Woman's, Midwestern State and St. Mary's rounded out the top five. The preseason poll and preseason players of the year are voted on by LSC head coaches, sports information directors and media members.
ABOUT UT PERMIAN BASIN
UT Permian Basin is off to a 1-0-1 start, with both matches coming at home. The Falcons finished last season 4-10-3 overall and 2-5-2 in LSC play. This year, Garrett Kull took over as the fifth head coach in program history. Through their first two matches, the Falcons have scored three goals while conceding just one, outshooting opponents 24-20 with 42 percent of their attempts on target. Since the series began in 2019, the Patriots hold a 4-0-1 advantage over UTPB.
ABOUT TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL
Texas A&M International has started the year 1-1-1, still seeking their first road victory of the season. The Dustdevils went 4-8-6 overall and 3-6-4 in conference play a year ago. Head coach Jovany Macias is in her third season at the helm, holding a 12-14-12 record with the program. Through three matches this fall, the Dustdevils have scored once and conceded twice while being outshot 28-16. Despite the low volume, they've been efficient, putting 50 percent of their attempts on target. Since the series began in 2019, UT Tyler holds a 2-0-3 advantage over TAMIU.
