GETTING HOT

The Patriots have found a hot streak, now winning 10 straight games, all in LSC play, since being swept by Angelo State back on March 6th. They have just three losses in LSC, with the other being to Texas Woman's on the first day of the LSC season on February 13th.

At home, the Patriots are even hotter, going 11-1 on the season and a perfect 6-0 inside Irwin Field in LSC play. That mark moves them to 135-10 overall in home LSC games since joining the conference and 410-49 all-time at home.

LSC STANDINGS

West Texas A&M sits alone atop the LSC standings at 19-1 on the season. They are followed closely by Angelo State at 16-2, and UT Tyler is right behind at 17-3. Oklahoma Christian sits in fourth, and Texas Woman's rounds out the top five.

This season nine teams will make the Lone Star Conference tournament, with seeding based upon the regular season standings. The number one team will host, with games being played Wednesday through Saturday.

A NEW FACE

This season marks the first in UT Tyler program history that Mike Reed will not be at the helm. Reed announced his departure into a full-time athletics administration role within the UT Tyler athletic department in January, and in his place will be interim head coach Jason Miller.

Miller joined the program in the summer of 2025 after an eight year stint at Grayson College and a one year run at Oklahoma Baptist. He helped guide the Bison to their first ever appearance in the GAC Championship game this past season after going 36-17 overall. At Grayson College, Miller spurred the Vikings to a 104-24 record in his last four seasons and two appearances at the NJCAA World Series, including a runner-up finish in 2021.
