FRISCO, TEXAS – UT Tyler men's basketball has earned two All-Lone Star Conference honors, as announced Wednesday evening at the LSC Men's Basketball postseason banquet.
Sean Emfinger and
Sam Phipps were both named All-LSC Honorable Mention, becoming just the fourth and fifth Patriots to receive the recognition since 2022.
Phipps played a pivotal role for the Patriots, leading the team in rebounding at 8.4 per game while averaging 9.3 points on an efficient 61.4% shooting. He also paced the squad with 43 blocks and 35 steals.
Emfinger led UT Tyler in scoring at 12.7 points per game, shooting 51.8% from the field and knocking down 27 three-pointers on the year. He added 41 assists, 30 steals, and 15 blocks to round out a strong all-around season.
The Patriots closed the year at 15-11 overall and 9-11 in conference play, winning five of their final six games. The nine conference victories marked the most in program history since joining the Lone Star Conference.
