UT Tyler women's soccer had an impromptu open week after their game Eastern New Mexico was canceled. That means the Patriots record is now 1-1-1(1-0 LSC). Before that they took down East Central 9-3 where the Patriots exploded for seven goals in the opening 33 minutes. Marin Love opened the scoring in the sixth minute off an assist from Celine Diaz, and just one second later, Diaz found the back of the net to double the Patriots' lead. Then, Coach Webb and her team traveled to Northeastern State where they earned a draw thanks to a strong defensive effort. UT Tyler's defense was equally impressive. Goalkeeper Robbi Curry recorded two saves and anchored a back line that limited Northeastern State to just two shots on target across 90 minutes.

Through the first three weeks, Danica Anaya leads the Patriots with four points and two goals on nine shots, four of which have been on target. She also holds the team lead in game-winning goals with two. The Patriots have been sharing the love to start the year as well, with 9 different players picking up an assist so far. Offensively, UT Tyler has produced 57 shots, putting 30 on frame for a 53 percent on-target rate. On the defensive side, Samantha White has been a reliable anchor with a team-high 212 minutes through the first three matches, while goalkeeper Robbi Curry has appeared in all three games with three starts, recording five saves and not conceding a goal in the last two matches.
PATRIOTS NEWS AND NOTES

- UT Tyler posted an 11-3-5 overall record last season, finishing sixth in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 7-2-5 mark in league play. At season's end, Natalie Jones and Melissa Oliveira earned All-Lone Star Conference Second Team honors, while Ella Anderson and Gabrielle Wiebe were named to the All-Lone Star Conference Third Team. Larixsa Plascencia and Samantha White showed the future is bright with both earning Lone Star Conference All-Freshman Team honors.
- Ella Anderson led the Patriots in both points (16), goals (6), and tied for the team lead in assists (4).
- Head coach Stefani Webb is in her 22nd season at the helm of the program. Coach Webb is 222-104-43 (.660) in her tenure as head coach of the Patriots and sits 312-150-50 overall.
ABOUT UT Permian Basin
UT Permian Basin is off to a 3-2-0 start, with all three wins coming at home. The Falcons finished last season 3-10-3 overall and 2-10-2 in LSC play. Through their first five matches, the Falcons offense has been solid, scoring 11 goals while conceding seven despite being outshot 55-65. Since the series began in 2019, the Patriots hold a 5-0-1 advantage over UTPB and are perfect at home at Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex against the Falcons.

Texas A&M International started the year 1-4-0, but picked up their first win on the season and in LSC play on the road last week against Angelo State. The Dustdevils went 4-9-4 overall and 3-8-3 in conference play a season ago. Through five matches this fall, the Dustdevils have scored three times and conceded eight goals while being outshot 40-56. Despite the difference, they've been efficient, putting 48 percent of their attempts on target.
