UT Tyler women's soccer took the pitch for the first time in Lone Star Conference play as they welcomed UT Permian Basin to Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex. The Patriots offensive dominance at home continued as they handed the Falcons a five-to-zero loss. Lexi Luff broke through to give the Patriots the lead early, as the sophomore found the back of the net in the 14th minute thanks to a nice assist by Celine Diaz. The Patriots would double the lead just 11 minutes later thanks to an Ella Anderson goal that was set up by Luff. UT Tyler then hit the road to Laredo to take on Texas A&M International. It was a balanced attack for the Patriots who took down the Dustdevils two-nothing. The Patriots controlled the match from the opening whistle, out shooting the TAMIU 17-three. UT Tyler finally broke through in the 40th minute. After a UT Tyler throw in, Lily Moreno found the loose ball inside the penalty area and delivered a cross body shot into the back of the net for the first goal of the match. The score was Moreno's first goal of the season and ended up being the game-winner.

Through the first four weeks, Danica Anaya and Ella Anderson lead the Patriots with three goals each and 6 points overall. Anderson also holds the team lead in game-winning goals with one. The Patriots have been sharing the love to start the year as well, with 11 different players picking up an assist or goal so far. Offensively, UT Tyler has produced 101 shots, putting 53 on frame for a 53 percent on-target rate. On the defensive side, Samantha White has been a reliable anchor with a team-high 337 minutes through the first three matches, while goalkeeper Robbi Curry has appeared in all five games with five starts. She has  recorded 10 saves and hasn't conceded a goal in the last four matches.
PATRIOTS NEWS AND NOTES

- UT Tyler posted an 11-3-5 overall record last season, finishing sixth in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 7-2-5 mark in league play. At season's end, Natalie Jones and Melissa Oliveira earned All-Lone Star Conference Second Team honors, while Ella Anderson and Gabrielle Wiebe were named to the All-Lone Star Conference Third Team. Larixsa Plascencia and Samantha White showed the future is bright with both earning Lone Star Conference All-Freshman Team honors.
- Ella Anderson led the Patriots in both points (16), goals (6), and tied for the team lead in assists (4).
- Head coach Stefani Webb is in her 22nd season at the helm of the program. Coach Webb is 231-107-45 (.662) in her tenure as head coach of the Patriots and sits 323-153-52 overall.
ABOUT Dallas baptist university
Dallas Baptist is off to a 7-0-0 start and is 4-0-0 in conference play. Five of their wins have been on the road. DBU is ranked #3 in the country ahead of their matchup with the Patriots, according to the United Soccer Coaches College Rankings. DBU finished last season 20-2-0 overall and 12-1-0 in LSC play. Through their first seven matches, the Dallas Baptist offense has been dominant, scoring 27 goals while conceding only three. Since the Lone Star Conference series began in 2019, the Patriots are still searching for their first victory over DBU.

Lubbock Christian University started the year with a loss but have since been perfect winning five times and forcing two draws. The Chaps have split their Lone Star Conference matchups with two wins and two draws. They are one of the five teams in conference play that have not suffered a loss yet. The Chaps went 8-7-3 overall and 6-5-2 in conference play a season ago. Through seven matches this fall, LCU have scored 18 goals while only giving up 7. The Chaps are outshooting their opponents 101 to 88 this season and so Saturday's matchup against the Patriots could be an offensive battle. Since the series began in 2019, UT Tyler has a 1-4-1 record against the Chaps with their last matchup ending in a 2-2 draw.
