TYLER, Texas – The UT Tyler Men's Basketball program will host the inaugural Buckets & Birdies Classic on Monday, September 28, at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, Texas. The event is a chance for fans, alumni, and other community members, to meet the 2026-27 Patriots men's basketball team and staff.

The four-person scramble tournament will begin with a 2 p.m. shotgun start and will give participants the opportunity to enjoy one of East Texas' premier golf courses while helping support the growth and success of the UT Tyler Men's Basketball program.

Team registration is $600 per team or $150 per individual player and includes lunch along with a commemorative golf polo as part of the entry fee. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and supporters interested in partnering with the program.

UT Tyler Head Men's Basketball Coach Doug Karleskint said, "The event is a great opportunity for our fans and the community to connect with our program while enjoying a day on the golf course."

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the UT Tyler Men's Basketball program and enhance opportunities for student-athletes through program development, training resources, travel, and other team initiatives.
