TYLER, TEXAS – The University of Texas at Tyler cheer and dance teams both received bids to the NCA/NDA Nationals following their performance at the NDA/NCA College Camp on July 23-25.
The camp, hosted on the campus of SMU, featured multiple foes from all across the collegiate cheer and dance landscape as squads from all three NCAA Division levels (I-III), the NAIA and junior colleges were represented. The Patriot cheer and dance teams both qualified to represent UT Tyler at the NDA/NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Apr. 6-10, marking the third appearance for the program at the event.
Victoria Kinney and Mya Takenaka both received All-American Dance Team honors throughout the week for their individual efforts in the competition.
